Keep checking this site for updated information at the beginning of each Fall & Spring semester.  Start dates and practice times will be posted.  If you miss any team meetings or team events, and practices have already started, contact our team officers for guidance. The team welcomes players of all skill levels.

NC State Lacrosse does a Fall-Ball and Spring season.  It is not required that you play Fall in order to play Spring lacrosse.  If you want to come out in the Spring, we highly recommend you play FallBall.  Participating in the Fall helps you get back into playing condition, and introduces you to everyone on the team.  The Spring season will be highly competitive.  If you only plan on doing the Spring, please contact the team officers.

To avoid scheduling conflicts in the Spring, please arrange your schedule so that you are available for lacrosse.  Fall and Spring practice will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 5-7pm.

NC State Lacrosse typically plays other MCLA Division 1 teams.  In the Fall, we schedule scrimmages against other North Carolina Division 1 & 2 teams.  The Spring schedule will change slightly from season to season, but the team plays most games against MCLA Division 1 teams.

The NC State Men’s Lacrosse team is primarily funded by dues paid by the players.  The budget is put together yearly by the team president, and reviewed by the club sports office at NC State.  NC State Lacrosse does receive a limited amount of funding from the university.  University funding and dues go towards team operating costs, MCLA league fees, transportation, lodging, practice jerseys, and other required team clothing.  If you have questions about dues, please contact the team officers.  The total dues payment is generally broken-up, and paid at 2 specific dates (once during FallBall, and second at the start of Spring lacrosse).  All players pay the same amount.

PLAYER REQUIREMENTS

The team requires all players have their own equipment.  Freshman/new players are going to need a white helmet (which we will provide the decals for), and gloves that only have Red, White, or Black as the color theme.  The white helmet and Red/White/Black gloves are requirements for the Spring, not FallBall.

To prepare for the season, RUN!  Run for distance, and sprint.  Get to the gym, find a wall, more sprints, find a buddy and work together on fundamentals.  Many of our players will be out shooting on our goals (located on the IM field, or Method Road Field).
